Community Services Pulse Check
18 August 2026

Closes 4 September 2026
Community service organisations across Tasmania are being invited to share their experiences through the Tasmanian Council of Social Service (TasCOSS) Community Services Industry Sustainability Pulse Check.
The community services sector continues to face increasing pressures, including higher workforce costs, rising fuel prices, growing demand for services and ongoing funding challenges. TasCOSS is seeking current information from organisations across the state to better understand how these pressures are affecting service delivery and organisational sustainability.
Organisations of all sizes, locations and service areas are encouraged to participate. Participation is open to all community service organisations, whether or not they are TasCOSS members.
The information collected will help TasCOSS advocate for funding arrangements that better reflect the real costs of delivering community services. The findings will also assist in demonstrating the impact that rising costs are having on the sector and support future advocacy efforts with government.
The more organisations that take part, the stronger the evidence base available to support Tasmania’s community services sector. TasCOSS will share key findings from the pulse check with participants.
Win a TasCOSS Conference Registration
As a thank you for participating, organisations that complete the pulse check will be eligible to enter a draw to win one of two complimentary registrations to the TasCOSS Conference in August 2027.
