Go Gentle Australia has launched its 2026 National Survey on voluntary assisted dying (VAD), inviting Australians to share their views and experiences. Complete the Survey
More than 3,000 responses have already been received, helping to build a clearer picture of community awareness, experiences and expectations of VAD across Australia.
The survey is open to members of the public, regardless of where they live or their level of knowledge about voluntary assisted dying. Responses will help Go Gentle Australia to:
- Better understand public awareness and understanding of VAD and identify knowledge gaps.
- Explore the experiences and expectations of people and families using VAD services.
- Track nationwide VAD data and trends over time.
The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete and will contribute to ongoing efforts to improve end-of-life choice and support continuous improvement of VAD services.
Please note that this survey is intended for members of the public and is not designed for healthcare professionals or people working in VAD services. A separate workforce survey for VAD practitioners and service providers is expected to be conducted by VADANZ later in the year.
