Karlyn’s passion is empowering folks to take charge of their health and wellbeing by connecting them with services and practices that support this.
After moving to Lutruwita in 2022, Karlyn was excited to become involved with the Huon Valley Voice For Health as a community member and service provider. With over 20 years experience working within the field of complimentary and preventative health, both in Australia and the UK, Karlyn wanted to bring her skillset to the broader community in a way that was accessible for all. She’s also worked extensively with community initiatives that support environmental sustainability, human development and helping young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to realise their potential.
Within her role with Health Consumers Tasmania, her intention is to support community members to work together to create better outcomes and a brighter future, not only for themselves but also for their emerging generations.
Karlyn has a love of nature, dancing and the creative arts. She spends her spare time with her little girl in stunning natural locations or festivals (preferably all at the same time!)
