About the engagement support officer role

The role is the key contact point for incoming and outgoing communications and supporting our engagement activities at Health Consumers Tasmania. The person will be responsible for getting our key messaging out to our stakeholders through our website, digital newsletter and social media platforms and managing inbound requests regarding consumer recruitment.

The person will work closely with the Advocacy and Impact Lead and other staff to ensure the vital advocacy and impact messaging is communicated broadly, in ways that are accessible to the community and meet the needs of diverse audiences.

This role involves:

  • Provide administrative, logistical and communications support for HCT’s face to face and online events. Key events include: the training program, state-wide and regional forums, focus groups and communities of practice.
  • Managing HCT’s content for communications and social media platforms including website, newsletter, Facebook and other online platforms, brochures and presentations and ensure digital and print marketing content is up-to-date and aligns with HCT’s brand’s identity and message.
  • Utilise, maintain and update HCT Customer Relationship Management Database (Salesforce).
  • General administrative support, such as managing incoming communication, supporting consumer placements, some secretariat support, and updating process information and internal communications via SharePoint.
