Health Consumers Tasmania is supporting the formation of three Health and Wellbeing Networks – a $4.5 million State Government election commitment.

The Networks are exploring ways where placed-based and community-led reforms to healthcare are informed and driven by an empowered and enabled community working closely with service providers and governments to effect positive change.

The Networks aims to nuture and encourage the voices of communities experiencing disadvantage to ensure their health service mix and scope better meets their needs. In turn, this improves both the efficiency and effectiveness of govenement resources and programs, builds inclusion and addresses systemic barriers and the complex challenges associated with the delivery of health services in regional and remote communities.
