Cyber Security Workshops

The Tasman Council, in partnership with InScope IT, Tasman Voice for Health, and support from Bendigo Bank, recently hosted a highly successful Cybersecurity Workshop aimed at helping community members enhance their skills and digital awareness. The February event saw over 50 participants, making it a great success! For those who missed out, there’s another opportunity to attend an upcoming workshop on March 27th, 2025. This session is open to anyone interested in learning more about cyber security and digital safety.

Cybersecurity workshops are vital in helping community members enhance their digital skills and stay safe online. Everyday users are often the most vulnerable to cyber threats, so increasing awareness can reduce risks when using unfamiliar websites, or more commonly used internet-based shopping and banking services. Especially important in rural and regional areas, this knowledge helps ensure continued access to essential services, such as healthcare, and supports overall well-being and health prevention.

This workshop aligns with Health Consumers Tasmania’s vision of “Building a Consumer Voice,” by listening, embracing and creating action for the growing needs and concerns of our community.
