The Tasmanian Data Linkage Unit (TDLU) is seeking a Consumer and Community Committee Member to join its Management Committee and help guide how linked, de-identified data is used to benefit the Tasmanian community. This is an opportunity for a community member to contribute to important discussions about the use of data across areas such as health, social services and education, with a strong focus on privacy, ethics and community trust. The role would suit someone with lived experience, or an interest in:

– Data privacy and security
– Health and medical research
– Public policy
– Community engagement and advocacy

The TDLU Management Committee meets four times each year, with meetings lasting approximately 1.5 hours. Meetings are held in person in Hobart, with an option to attend online from elsewhere in Tasmania.
Successful applicants will receive training and support, and a paid honorarium is offered in recognition of the contribution community members make to the committee’s work.
