Paid Opportunity: Join the Rural Disability Research Reference Group

The Australian Rural Health Education Network (ARHEN) is seeking people with lived experience of disability, carers, and family members living in rural and remote Australia to help guide disability research through its Rural Disability Research Community of Practice. This is a paid opportunity to contribute your knowledge and experiences to research that aims to improve outcomes for people with disability in rural communities.

Who Can Apply?
You may be interested if you:

+ Live in a rural or remote area of Australia.
+ Have lived experience of disability, either personally or as a carer or family member.
+ Want to contribute your perspective to research discussions

No research experience or qualifications are required.

What’s Involved?
Participants will:

+ Attend four online meetings between July and November 2026.
+ Participate in 1.5-hour Zoom meetings.
+ Receive payment for meeting time and one hour of preparation before each meeting.
+ Have access to supports including closed captions, Auslan interpreters, plain language documents and other accessibility adjustments if required.
