Participants Needed for APRICOT Research to Improve Safer Medicine Use

About the Study
The Australian Primary Care Initiative for Medicine Use Optimisation and Safety (APRICOT) is seeking participants to help inform the development of new tools that support safer and more effective medicine use. The project aims to design a model of care that includes a mobile app and practical support strategies shaped directly by patient experiences.
Why This Research Matters
Many Australians manage multiple health conditions or take regular medications. Understanding the real‑world challenges people face is essential for improving medication safety, communication, and self‑management. Insights from participants will directly influence the design of tools intended to make medicine use safer and easier.
What Participation Involves
Participants will be invited to take part in a 3‑hour workshop, either online or in person. During the workshop, participants will:
Share their experiences with medicine use
Contribute to the design of a new health app
Identify barriers and enablers to safe medicine use
A short online follow‑up survey will also be completed in the weeks after the workshop.
Who Can Take Part
The research team is seeking participants who:
Live in Victoria, New South Wales, or Tasmania
Take regular medications or manage chronic health conditions
Are comfortable communicating in English
