HCT is currently recruiting Consumer Representatives for a Course Advisory Committee for the Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honours on behalf of The School of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, University of Tasmania (UTAS).

We are seeking Expressions of Interest from Tasmanian health consumers that have an interest in joining the Course Advisory Committee to share your perspective and lived experience to help ensure the pharmacy courses meet the needs of the community. Details relating to the EOI process are immediately below with further information about the background of the project included further down.

EOI and Role Details:

– 1.5-2 hour meetings, held twice per year

– Remuneration is available at $150 per meeting

– Meetings will occur both online and in person

– Free parking to attend in person meetings at Sandy Bay Campus is available by prior request

Description of the role:

As a health consumer representative on the University of Tasmania’s Bachelor of Pharmacy Course Advisory Committee, your role would be to share your perspective and lived experience to help ensure the pharmacy courses meet the needs of the community. The committee includes university staff, students, and pharmacy professionals who work together to review and improve the Bachelor of Pharmacy programs. You’d contribute to discussions about course quality, help make sure the training aligns with what the public and the profession expect, and offer advice on how the School of Pharmacy and Pharmacology can better connect with the Tasmanian community. Your input helps shape the future of pharmacy education so that graduates are well-prepared to serve people like you.

Health Consumers Tasmania is collaborating with UTAS on the recruitment process. Initial discussions will be conducted by HCT, after which a shortlist of three candidates will be presented to UTAS for final selection.
